RFH Annual Volunteer Day

RFH Return to Annual Volunteer Day was a Success!
After an extended break due to Covid-19, we had a successful return to our annual volunteer day. This year, we were able to sit down with staff from The Hope Center in Lexington to learn more about their organization and what they do for the community. While the Hope Center serves the male community primarily, they can help direct others to resources they may need (Salvation Army, The Nest etc), when necessary and if needed. They have a men’s shelter, a recovery center, a Veterans program, an RV that roves the community and transitional housing, just to name a few services. Our volunteer work revolved mainly around the shelter where we washed walls, vents and mattresses. We also cleared the outside shelter campus and adjacent areas of trash and debris. We were happy to help serve the community and learn more about this organization.
